RJL MOTORSPORT REAR SEAT DELETE KITS

Thank you for choosing RJL Motorsport products!

Installation of our kits is designed to be straightforward and takes approximately 10 minutes. Each kit includes all the brackets and fixings required. Assembly requires only a single tool: a screwdriver or drill.

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Remove your rear seats and any brackets attached.
  2. For vehicles with welded brackets that cannot be removed, please leave them in place. Our kits are designed to work around these to ensure the process is fully reversible.

Step 2: Kit Contents

Unpack and lay out all components of the kit. Most of our kits use a universal bracket package that includes:

  • 2 x Black L Brackets
  • 1 x Silver L Bracket
  • 12 x 16mm Small Gold Screws
  • 6 x 25mm Large Gold Screws
  • 2 x Black Screw Cap Heads
  • 2 x 12mm Plywood Supports

Depending on the vehicle model, additional components may be included:

  • 50mm x 50mm Wooden Support Blocks
  • Additional Screws
  • Additional L Brackets

For models requiring additional support, our CNC-machined floors will have square markings on the underside indicating where to attach brackets or support blocks. Markings are also provided to ensure proper alignment of the components.

Step 3: Construction

Our kits are simple to assemble:

  1. Attach the Black L Brackets to either side of the seat board. These connect to the footwell section. Space them as wide as possible for maximum support.
  2. Attach the Silver L Bracket in the center for additional support.
  3. Position the Wooden Ply Blocks as wide as possible and screw them into the boot section of the kit, leaving 50% of the block hanging over the edge for optimal stability.

Note: 80% of our floors are universal and should closely resemble the example provided in the photo.

Step 4: Installation

Follow these steps to install the kit:

  1. Identify which section of the kit has the flat wooden supports fixed to it. This section will need to be installed into the car first.
    • Example: For an Audi 8P, the seat section requires wooden supports and is installed first.
  2. Install the rear boot section after the seat section. The support blocks ensure both sections are level and stable.
  3. Secure the kit: Use the large screws provided to attach the sections together by screwing down through the floor into the wooden supports. Cover the screws with the black caps for a clean finish.
